The ZEMA carrier vehicles represent the basic component of our self-propelled ZEMA (Zeyer/Marschall) field packaging system developed in the 1980s. Thanks to continuous technical development, two lines have since been designed, namely ZEMA I and ZEMA II. The carrier vehicles mainly differ in their technology. ZEMA I features a full floating axle at the front and a stiff axle at the back. The axles for ZEMA II are attached via hydraulic cylinder and can hydraulically be adjusted to any position. The levels are adjusted automatically via sensors. The frame of ZEMA I is welded, while the frame of ZEMA II is screwed which allows it to absorb twists and distortions easier. Therefore,
ZEMA II is also suitable for use with very heavy loads. ZEMA I is only available with 2 axles because of the welded frame.
